For my Sale-a-bration swaps for Stampin up, the requirements were to use some thing from Sale-a-bration and one emblishment and one stamp from the Spring Mini catalog. Why I thought that would be a good idea at the time is beyond me, this swap was a little challenging.
So for my first card I used Sale-a-bration patterned paper, the Jar stamp is from Perfectly preserved in the Spring Mini, as well as the Framelits die I used to cut it out with. The butterflies are punched out with a punch from the mini catalog, the purple patterned paper for the butterflies are from sale-a-bration. The little punched out Hello saying is from sale-a-bration and the Mini bottle cap is from the Spring mini. The mini butterfly in the middle of the bottle cap is from a stamp set called Itty Bitties in the Spring catalog as well. And the card stock in Bashful Blue was used for the outside base of the card. And last but not least, the butterflies and bottle cap are dressed up with dazzling details in silver.
This card was made from Summer Star fruit for the base green color, the Blue card-stock is Island Indigo and the patterned paper is from Sale-a-bration, as well as the Calypso Coral ribbon. Again I used the Itty Bitties to stamp in the punched holes in different themes. The wholes I made with the Itty Bitty punch pack shapes. And the stamp 4 you is from the Jewellery tag set in the main Catalog. And if fits perfectly in a mini bottle cap.
The last one for today: This card was made from Basic Gray card stock as the base, then the Naturals white over top for a second layer. Stamped on that is the Swallowtail butterfly from the Spring mini catalog. The ribbon is in color's Island Indigo and Calypso coral from Sale-a-bration. I also used those two color's to highlight parts of the Butterfly to tie everything together. The Glass silver button is from the Spring catalog and the Ticket stamp is also from the Spring catalog in a set called That's the ticket. The punch that coordinates with that is in the main Stampin up catalog.
I believe the Sale-a-bration Swap card are to arrive by Feb 20th but I'll probably be waiting till the end of the week due to Family day and the post office being close. No Biggie. I can't wait to see what the other ladies have created. When I receive the cards, I'll post them up here as well. :)
Now to hopefully soon get on making my Easter, cards for the next swap.
Happy Crafting.
